The 'score' is simply the numbet of d-verb plugins your system can handle If the test tone starts to breakup, then delete some Dverbs until you can hear a SOLID TEST TONE for 5 MINUTES. You want to be able to record WITHOUT THE TEST TONE BREAKING UP!! Keep adding Dverbs and recording. Record arm the new track and continue this pattern. Click on the track name so it is high lighted white, and hit shift+alt+D then hit enter. Create another audio track and insert 5 Dverbs in all the inserts. Go to AudioSuite > Other > Signal Generator and click on the "process" but. You will now have 5 minutes selected in this track. This is the most productive, stable, and quiet machine I've owned since my G4/400 way back. Haven't seen that error ONCE on this machine. I used to push that dual 2.5Ghz G5 to 70-80% utilization and get the -9128 errors all the time - a real PITA. However, this is SO much more powerful than my dual G5, it's ridiculous - and it's more stable for me. I think that even if it doesn't use the multiple processors efficiently right now, the next version of the OS will take care of that.įor the short term, you may get slightly better (10-15%) performance from the faster CPU clock at 2.93. At 128 buffer size, it's really stable and hasn't gone above 22% utilization even with Altiverb, 2 instances of Amplitube, 20-25 tracks, a bunch of EQ and compressors, Addictive Drums, Stylus RMX and whatever else. Sometimes it will glitch on playback if I have the buffers set to 64 and a lot going on.
